Name: Lunch and Learn [at Home] Series - 2020 Census - Why You Should Care
Date: June 18, 2020
Time: 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM MDT
Event Description:
The 2020 Census is valuable to businesses. The results will provide a rich set of data on the communities they serve, including population trends and growth projections. Business owners rely on census results to make decisions such as where to open new stores, restaurants, factories, courier routes, offices, where to expand operations, where to recruit employees and which products and service to offer. If you have not already responded, please respond today here: www.2020census.gov

It is also important to reach all communities with the census, including demographics that would typically be underrepresented. We will be joined by nonprofit members to discuss the importance of represenation in the census.

We will be joined by the following panelists explaining the importance of the census to you, your community, and businesses:

Julie Frieder, Partnership Specialist, U.S. Census Bureau
Stuart Feinhor, Cultural Broker, Boulder County
Craig Towler, Census Outreach Coordinator and Cultural Broker, Center for People with Disabilities

The week of June 15 is Colorado Census Action Week! Make sure you take a few moments to complete the census and attend this webinar to hear just how important it is to each of us.
