Date: May 20, 2020
Time: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM MDT
Event Description:

This event will be postponed until the late summer or fall. Stay tuned for the new date.

Join us for the Changing the Narrative Age-friendly Workplace presentation that will highlight the benefits of leveraging older Coloradan’s talent, overcoming stereotypes connected to age, offer steps to improve access to the entire Talent Pipeline,  and how this could improve your company’s productivity and profitability in today’s economy.  Hear about the Certified Age Friendly Employer program and sign up for certification.

·       As talent shortages hinder business growth, expansion and our ability to get work done, we need innovative solutions. Hiring, retaining and leveraging the strengths and experience of older Coloradans can be part of the solution.
·       Research shows that older Americans are healthier, better educated and more technology-savvy than in the past. Additionally, their skills and experience, loyalty, and networks of professional contacts can be tremendous assets to our businesses.
·       Learn about the Certified Age Friendly Employer program and the certification process – an initiative designed to identify and promote those organizations that are committed to be the best places to work for employees at or above age 50
We will hear from Karen Browna thought-leader in technology and innovations for older people focusing on products, services and policy that improve the lives of older adults and their caregivers.  As CEO of iAging and the Ambassador of the Aging2.0 Denver Chapter, she is connected to, supportive of and a consultant to a network of innovators in Colorado and across the globe that are tackling the Grand Challenges of Aging.  Her involvement in the Longevity Economy was driven by her first-hand experience on the caregiving journey with aging family members.  As Past Chair and current member of the Strategic Action Planning Group on Aging (SAPGA), she is keenly aware of the changes in the Colorado demographics and is working with SAPGA to promote policies and programs that will support older people, their caregivers and the infrastructure that serves them to the year 2030 and beyond.
