Power Systems Engineer

Hygge Power is looking for a Power Systems Engineer to simulate, test, and drive the development of their first product, OPO (Orchestrated Power Outlet). OPO is a plug & play connected hardware device that manages and stores energy so customers can live power interruption free, save money, and reduce their environmental impact.
Currently in Alpha development, this role will be key to a successful beta product and market launch, in addition to responsibility for driving & designing future products and revisions.
Key Technical Skills:
Power supply simulation (50W-500W, DC/AC, DC/DC, AC/DC)
Power systems design (Inverter, forward, flyback, buck, boost)
Control Systems Design (analog required, digital a plus)
Electrical component testing & simulation
Develop power supplies, analog circuitry, and supporting digital circuitry
Simulate/test inductors and transformers to validate component values
Create thorough documentation and specifications of power systems components
Hands on testing of power electronics in a lab setting
Thorough understanding of safety requirements and compliance standards
