18th Annual Boulder Garden Tour: Tickets on sale now!
After a two year hiatus, Boulder’s annual garden tour is back with a new name, fresh location and a new beneficiary. For 17 years, the Whittier Mapleton Garden Tour brought the community together to explore private gardens in support of a local elementary school. This year, we are excited to announce the 18th Annual Boulder Garden Tour and the new beneficiary– Garden to Table, Boulder County’s school garden support organization.
On June 25, 9 am - 2 pm, the 18th Annual Boulder Garden Tour will take guests through unique, private gardens and homesteads in the historic University Hill neighborhood. At each stop, there will be edutainment on topics related to sustainable gardening and yard care such as: tree health, water-wise irrigation, native plants and pollinator habitat. Check-in will take place at Flatirons Elementary and The Academy University Hill.
The event’s beneficiary, Garden to Table, serves 200+ teachers and 5,000+ students at 15-20 schools in Boulder County each year, including three of those affected by the Marshall Fire. From north Boulder south to Broomfield, and from the foothills east to Lafayette, Garden to Table provides garden management, standards-based curriculum, training and support to schools so that all students can participate in experiential, garden-based learning every year.
We are excited to welcome the community to this year’s tour where we will gather together, enjoy the great outdoors, and be inspired by our local gardens and gardeners. It’s a great opportunity to learn about best practices for creating your own sustainable yard and garden while supporting an important cause. Sponsorships are available starting at $500 for those interested and willing to support Garden to Table. If you are interested in having your garden included on the tour, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Tickets will be available at www.bouldergardentour.com ($20 in advance, $25 on the day of the event).
