Event Description:

The Film Commission’s next Roundtable is scheduled for June 11th! These discussions give YOU the opportunity to have a seat at the table, and talk with your fellow professionals, as well as helping to inform Film Commission staff on what things they should be working on, including:

  • Helping to effect change with the film permit process in Boulder.

  • Brainstorming ideas about new events, classes, and workshops to continue building our creative industry.

  • Leveraging the Boulder Chamber’s Advocacy team to improve the State's Film Incentive program.

  • Marketing opportunities we can do to generate more business for Boulder’s creatives.

  • Researching the possibility of implementing a new Boulder County 10% “stackable” tax incentive to supplement the State's 20%.

  • Getting involved with the Boulder County Film Commission’s Filmmaker Lounge that will be held during Sundance Film Festival in eight months.
    .
  • Lots more!

In addition, we’ll have special guest Dusty Astrom, VP of Finance and Operations of Citizen Pictures (long-time producer of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, among other programming), give a very short presentation about the changing world of reality television and the impact on our industry.

The Film Commission’s Roundtables are free, but you must be a Film Commission member to attend. We'll have snacks and adult beverages; if you haven't been before, a typical agenda looks a little something like this:

3:30pm - 4:15pm:    Film Commission Members arriving

4:00pm - 4:30pm:    Social time

4:30pm - 6:00pm:    Sit-down Roundtable
