With his Kingdom all but surrounded in a perilous war, and with a covert, upper-class insurrection about to erupt: A spoiled, immature Prince’s rebellious nature must be tamed.

Urgent action is required; he must develop the mature, 'earnest heart' of a coming king.

The ups – and downs – of an accidental friendship the Prince forms (which includes heartbreak and betrayal) with a beautiful peasant girl who at first hides her gender (funny, charming, resourceful Maja, almost 14, in dogged pursuit of a life “that’s better than what maidens are supposed to have”) become pivotal to the Kingdom’s survival.

THE KING MAKER is a funny, dangerous medieval adventure - with a touch of adult political thriller - about a prince taught that kings survive by trusting no one and a kitchen girl forced to pretend she's a boy - who ultimately teaches him that the exact opposite is true.

A hearty, coming of age family adventure in which the future king isn't the most important person in the story — the girl who makes him one is.

Virtually no supernatural machinery (however, an intriguing dream sequence would lend itself beautifully to AI.)

No ‘Epic Fantasy’ Budget: No dragons, armies of CGI creatures or elaborate magic system. The world is fantastical, but the filmmaking can be physical: castles, forests, horses, markets, costumes, stunt work.  

Both leads are intriguing; in the end, the female lead is pivotal to “the Victory.”  

Well-suited for either Live-Action or Animation.

A PG-13 /12+ live-action medieval adventure-comedy with first love, political conspiracy, action and danger.
