About
Merix's early experiences developing deeper relationships with teams and strengthening bonds with colleagues at conferences left her refreshed and recommitted to her work. This led to her passion for the collective energy and enthusiasm that originate from meaningful events, especially for purpose-driven organizations.
She has professionally coordinated logistics for more than 80 events with budgets ranging from $5,000 to $500,000, and welcomed over 750,000 attendees to campus-wide cultural celebrations, educational festivals highlighting the accomplishments of - conservation and sustainability research, intensive working retreats for boards of directors, anniversary parties celebrating corporate milestones, international software user conferences that cover miles of convention halls, fundraising galas and community celebrations, training symposiums, trade shows and exhibitions.
Merix founded PAE Boulder in 2014 and has leveraged her planning experience to specialize in supporting logistics for corporate events, successfully reducing her clients’ costs and saving staff hundreds of hours of work. Fluent in French, she holds a BA from DePauw University and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and she’s a member of the Rocky Mountain chapter of MPI.
After 18 years orchestrating events, I understand how stressful event planning can be, and how difficult it is to coordinate vendors, sponsors, speakers, technology and attendees, not to mention facilitation, transportation, and communication.
