The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) and Friends of the National Center invite you to the 2024 Walter Orr Roberts Distinguished Lecture on June 21 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm MDT. The theme of this year’s event is “Urban Climate Change.”
Our Distinguished Lecturer is Dr. Reginald Blake, climate scientist and Associate Provost and Dean of Curriculum and Research at the New York City College of Technology of the City University of New York (CUNY). Dr. Blake’s lecture will be preceded by a series of short lightning talks by NSF NCAR scientists Maria Molina, Cenlin He, and Wenfu Tang on their own research related to the issues and implications of urban climate change.
Join us in person at the NSF NCAR Mesa Lab in Boulder, Colorado, to enjoy appetizers and explore our interactive science exhibits before the talks. You can also tune in virtually for a livestream of the talks. We look forward to welcoming you!
