HUMAN RESOURCES AND OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Human Resources 

  • Employee Recruitment, including job postings, coordination of interviews and monitoring progress toward filling open positions throughout the organization  

  • Onboarding of new hires, including background check fulfillment, equipment provisioning and all required payroll, tax and legal paperwork  

  • Benefits administration for all employees, including insurance, PTO tracking, wellness and retirement plans  

  • Work with the Finance & Operations team in evaluating and selecting all benefit offerings annually or as needed  

  • Administer employee review process on quarterly and annual basis, including coordinating review schedules and deadlines with all organization managers  

  • Coordinate internal and external employee trainings, to include content review and recommendations as needed, able to lead trainings as appropriate   

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, to include monitoring of payments to taxing entities and processing of year end payroll requirements  

  • Work with Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator to ensure that all volunteers have been background checked and received appropriate training for their roles 

Finance 

  • Maintain Accounts Payable module in QuickBooks Online, to include invoice entry, vendor management and payments  

  • Support annual audits with recordkeeping and documentation   

  • Maintain 1099 vendor profiles, documentation and reporting  

  • Support as needed to ensure appropriate separation of duties for internal control 

IT Infrastructure 

  • Ensure that all employees, interns and volunteers are provisioned with the proper equipment, credentials and access to SPAN IT and communications networks  

  • Working knowledge network infrastructure, equipment requirements, potential upgrades and understanding of organizational impact of infrastructure changes  

  • First line of communication when employees encounter network, communication or equipment issues  

  • Holds primary organization relationship with IT, telephone and other infrastructure vendors, especially support resources  

  • Coordinate, in conjunction with Executive Director and Associate Director, any organization-wide IT-related projects  

  • Create processes to train employees on infrastructure as needed 

What You Bring to Us 

Required: 

  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders. 

  • Two years of human resources or related experience. 

  • Two years of IT infrastructure-related experience. 

  • Two years of bookkeeping or accounting administrative experience 

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.  

  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice, anti-racism and nonviolence. 

 

Preferred: 

  • Familiarity with accounting software (especially QuickBooks Online), donor management platforms (especially Salesforce) and payroll systems (especially Paylocity). 

        B.A. in Human Resources or equivalent experience. 

Compensation:

This is an exempt, salaried position. The salary is $52,000-$58,000 annually, depending on your qualifications.  Compensation also includes our standard benefit package, including a medical plan, dental & vision plan, generous vacation, sick leave and holiday time off, reduced rate Eco-Pass, Simple IRA retirement plan with 2% agency contribution, and Employee Assistance Program.
