Schedule
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 7:45am-5:30pm with at least a 30 min lunch break between 12:00pm-1:00pm. Exact schedule to be determined together between applicant and employer.
Hourly Wage:
$16/hour
Benefits:
Accrued PTO, up to 6 national holiday paid days off/year (designated holidays that fall on your regularly scheduled workday), retirement plan with up to 3% employer matching
Specific duties:
- Work with medical providers and staff to ensure patients obtain highest standard of healthcare
- Provide excellent and respectful customer service; help all patients to feel welcome
- Follow procedures for the EMR system: document all care given, maintain patient health history
- Call to inform patients of lab and imaging results, and relay other messages to patients as directed
- Adhere to all standards, protocols, and laws surrounding patient confidentiality
- Obtain and record data pertinent to each visit: vital signs, medications, allergies, and reason for visit
- Assist with medical, surgical, and gynecological procedures i.e. EKGs, vision acuity, ear irrigation, suturing, birth control device insertion and removal (ex: IUDs, Nexplanons) and other tests/procedures as directed by providers.
- Phlebotomy/blood draws
- Perform autoclave sterilization of instruments
- Adhere to infection control policies
- Collect, process, and record laboratory tests
- Store, inventory, and administer immunizations and other medications in compliance with all state and federal guidelines
- Assist with other administrative tasks, such as obtaining/preparing release of records, communicating with other medical offices, scheduling patients, answering phones, insurance verification, maintain inventory
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies
Qualifications:
- Possess empathy toward the needs of others. Able to work well with patients
- Detail-oriented and able to accurately document required information clearly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to learn new skills and tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Comfortable working with the LGBTQIA+ population.
Random drug testing and background checks may be conducted.
