Seeking artists to submit 2D pieces to a juried show on the topic of Exploring Water Through Art.


Submissions Due: Friday, March 14, 2025

Show Opens: Friday, May 9, 2024 (artwork drop off the previous week)


This show is a collaboration between Friends of the National Center, the UCAR Center for Science Education (SciEd), and the Museum of Boulder. The Exploring Water Through Art pieces will be displayed at the National Science Foundation National Center for Atmospheric Research (NSF NCAR) Mesa Laboratory in Boulder, CO.


The theme of Exploring Water Through Art can be broadly defined, but might include art that focuses on:

-Water in community (and community science)

-Water as a resource (scarcity and/or abundance)

-Water in ecosystems

-Water cycles

-Water quality

-Bodies of water

-Water in action

-Water as metaphor

-Sacredness of water
