This unflinching documentary depicts the harrowing conditions of Palestinian villages living under Israeli occupation and constant violence in Masafer Yatta, a beautiful mountainous region on the Southern edge of the West Bank. For half a decade, Basel Adra, a Palestinian activist, films the destruction and displacement of his community, while forming a complex bond with Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham, exposing the occupation’s human toll.
No Other Land has won many awards, including the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature Film at the 97th Academy Awards in 2025, marking the first Oscar win for a Palestinian film.
