The NoBo Art District, in partnership with Lisa Nesmith’s family, invites you to experience In Loving Memory, a posthumous exhibition honoring Lisa’s legacy as a beloved artist, community builder, and champion for the arts in Boulder. Lisa was a mixed media artist who worked with found objects, maps, textiles, collage, and encaustic—creating richly layered pieces that spoke to time, memory, and place. Her early background in textile design and her love for travel deeply influenced her work, while her life in Boulder with her husband and two sons was the true heart of her creative journey. This exhibition celebrates Lisa’s contributions both on the canvas and in the community. As a former Board Chair of the NoBo Art District, Lisa played a pivotal role in shaping NoBo’s evolution from a grassroots artist collective to a thriving arts organization.
