In VINTAGERuby – Elizabeth I: Words and Music, Ars Nova Singers joins actor Tamara Meneghini to bring Queen Elizabeth I vividly to life. Drawing from Meneghini’s acclaimed solo play Elizabeth I: In Her Own Words, the performance interweaves the queen’s private reflections with the music she knew and championed. 

The program features masterworks by Thomas Tallis, including Spem in alium, alongside music by William Byrd and madrigals from The Triumphs of Oriana. Part concert, part theater, VINTAGERuby offers a striking portrait of a ruler both formidable and deeply human.
