MEALS ON WHEELS OF BOULDER’S MARCH MATCHNESS
March for Meals by donating to a $5,000 match campaign
Boulder- March for Meals is an awareness campaign across the country to promote and celebrate the services and programs of Meals on Wheels during the month of March. It is also an opportunity to support your local Meals on Wheels.
Meals on Wheels of Boulder is part of this movement and is launching their March for Meals with a March for Matchness campaign.
A group of angel donors have pledged $5,000 to match by the end of March. During this time of uncertainty for funding, Meals on Wheels of Boulder is asking you to “March for Meals” by making a donation to reach a $5,000 match. A successful match means the campaign raises $10,000 in total.
Meals on Wheels of Boulder is also asking for people to “march for meals” by volunteering and spreading awareness for their mission on social media.
“The world is changing right now, and as an organization who delivers meals to people who need them, we realize the demands for our services might increase. We are asking for extra support from our community,” says Shoshana Fanizza, Development and Marketing Director of Meals on Wheels of Boulder. “We have been here for the Boulder community since 1969, 56 years and counting, and we are doing everything we can to ensure we will continue to be here to provide our services to the neighbors who need a hot, nutritious meal prepared and delivered.”

“We could not be more grateful to our angel donors for making this March Matchness campaign possible,” says Fanizza, “and we are thankful to all our volunteers, donors, corporate sponsors, and community supporters for helping us through the challenges along the way.”
About Meals on Wheels of Boulder
Since 1969, Meals on Wheels of Boulder has been providing nutritious meals and a daily wellbeing check-in to Boulder neighbors who are unable to shop and prepare their own meals and might not otherwise have access to good nutrition. These neighbors might go days without the warmth of human interaction, and our friendly volunteer drivers provide them social interaction and a connection to our community. We deliver over 300 meals each weekday with the support of around 325 volunteers per year. 2.8 million meals have been delivered since 1969.
Meals on Wheels of Boulder accepts no state or federal government funding, which gives us the ability to serve anyone, regardless of age or income. Your Boulder neighbors want to live in their own home, to age in place, or to recover from the hospital or rehabilitation facility. Meals on Wheels of Boulder and you, our supporters, make this possible.
