SoBo Homes, a Boulder County design-build firm, took home two awards from the National Kitchen & Bath Association-Rocky Mountain Region awards ceremony on Thursday night. The project, a custom Boulder ADU, won the “People’s Choice Award: Bathroom” and a 2nd Place honor in the “Small Kitchen” category. The NKBA is an American non-for-profit trade association for the kitchen and bath industry.

Led by SoBo’s interior designers Ashley Ervick and Lisa Gambiana, the project was a new accessory dwelling unit, also called a “granny suite” or ADU. This small dwelling, located in south Boulder, has a French Country Cottage theme.

The Small Kitchen category had 12 nominees and was judged by a panel of 12 North American architects, interior designers, and home furnishing experts. The People’s Choice Award was based on votes by the evening’s attendees, primarily interior designers from the metro Denver area.
