Three Decades of Service: AMR Continues to Provide EMS Care for Boulder County
BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (February 26, 2026) – For 30 years, American Medical Response (AMR) has provided emergency medical services across Boulder County. While the City of Boulder’s EMS coverage has shifted, AMR’s service does not end at City limits. AMR continues to provide emergency medical services across Boulder County, responding to 911 calls and delivering patient care in coordination with local public safety agencies. AMR first responders remain active in the community, offering guidance and support for public health and wellness programs.
In a committed effort to investing in the lasting stability of EMS in Boulder County, AMR also provides its award-winning Earn While You Learn program. This initiative allows individuals to earn a paycheck while completing training to become emergency medical technicians. The EWYL strengthens the pipeline of locally trained first responders and retains local talent for the area.
“Our commitment to Boulder County and the surrounding communities is rooted in caring about our people,” said Chris Williams, regional director for AMR. “These are our neighbors, friends and family members - we take pride being a trusted partner and investing in the future of emergency medical services.”
In addition to its service in Boulder County, AMR continues to provide reliable inter-facility transport for Boulder Community Health and additional area hospitals.
